Candle Tips for Safer and Better Burn

Candle Tips for Safer and Better Burn

To enjoy your candle fully, please follow our suggestions for safer and better burn

Lighting up the Candle

  • Always burn your candle long enough until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge of the vessel before extinguishing your candle. Extinguishing a candle too early may lead to the formation of a tunnel around the wick and down through the core of the candle
  • Trim off any charred wood from previous burns to 0.5cm before relighting to help create an even and clean burn
  • Start at the corner of the wooden wick to get your first burn and let the flame travel across the length of the wick
  • Ensure that your candle is placed on a flat, heat resistant surface. Keep your candle away from potential flammable surfaces

  • Avoid drafts, vents, or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, soot, and excessive dripping

  • Keep your wax clean. Do not allow wick trimmings, dust, or other materials to accumulate in the wax pool

  • Burn for 2-4 hours, do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended

    Extinguish the Candle

    • Use a candle extinguisher/snuffer to extinguish the candle. Blowing candle will produce black smoke, turning the wonderful aroma of scented candles into smoke.
    • For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 2cm of wax remains in the container.

    Candles Storage

Candles should be stored in a cool, dry place with the lid on. Excessive temperature or direct sunlight will cause the surface of the candle to melt, which in turn will affect the fragrance of the candle, resulting in insufficient fragrance when lit.
